Nearly 700 patients received free check-ups and treatment during the Medical and Dental Mission organized by Quezon Power (Philippines) Limited Co. last September 25 at the St. Michael Archangel Basilica Church in Tayabas.

A total of 510 medical patients and 173 dental patients received much-needed diagnostics and treatment from volunteer doctors and nurses as part of the QPL-sponsored activity. All patients also received free medicines during the outreach.

Other organizations that participated in the Medical and Dental Mission are FOSMA (Friends of St. Michael Archangel Parish Church) and The Wheel Club of Tayabas.

As an added bonus, 75 people availed of free haircut offered as part of the annual event.

“Quezon Power is seriously involved in the community’s health and general well-being by continuously providing medical and dental services to the municipality’s 40 barangays. To deepen the program, Quezon Power also provides medical and dental services to Mauban neighboring towns such as Tayabas and Sampaloc, Quezon,” QPL said.

In line with this commitment, QPL conducts medical missions both in Tayabas and Sampaloc municipalities on an annual basis. The company also conducts monthly medical and dental missions in Mauban town as part of its community health initiative.

To date, more than 55,000 medical patients and 14,000 dental patients have checked and/or treated under this program.
