As part of this year’s Earth Day celebrations, QPL participated in the municipal-wide coastal clean-up drive last April 17, 2015 joining local government agencies and organizations in Mauban that conducted a simultaneous cleaning of their assigned coastal areas.

Sitio Dalig in Barangay Cagsiay 1 in Mauban, Quezon was the area assigned to QPL for this year’s clean-up drive.

A total of 76 volunteer employees from QPL, PEPOI, Miescor, Far East Hotel, Gervasio Security Agency and 2015 on-the-job trainees joined forces to clean and clear the coastal area of Sitio Dalig.

The group assembled early at the basketball court in Sitio Dalig complete with sacks, gloves and rakes then headed and started cleaning the area.

A total of 94 sacks of coastal waste were collected by the group during the activity, which were then turned over to the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources office for proper disposal.

Following the activity, QPL conveyed its gratitude to all the volunteers who participated in the coastal cleanup and showed support for all the community programs being undertaken by the company as part of its Community Social Responsibility campaigns.
